YEKATERINBURG, RUSSIA – July 8, 2026 – The Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI) is strengthening its strategic role in promoting global investment by supporting the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia at INNOPROM 2026, one of Eurasia’s leading international industrial exhibitions, held in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
As the Official Partner Country, Indonesia is leveraging its participation in INNOPROM 2026 to showcase the country’s industrial potential and competitiveness while strengthening its position as a strategic manufacturing base in Asia and a gateway to ASEAN and global markets.
Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, together with Chairman of HKI, Akhmad Maruf Maulana, is actively promoting stronger investment and industrial cooperation through a series of strategic engagements in Yekaterinburg. Indonesia’s participation also provides an important platform to showcase the readiness of its industrial ecosystem, supported by 180 industrial estates located across the country.
Speaking at the Business Talk session, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita highlighted the continued development of Indonesia’s industrial estate ecosystem and the country’s positive investment outlook.

“As of the second quarter of this year, our 180 industrial estates have become home to nearly 12,000 multinational and domestic tenants. With cumulative investment exceeding IDR 6,744 trillion and employment reaching 2.35 million workers, we invite investors from Russia and the b roader Eurasian region to make Indonesia their primary manufacturing hub for accessing ASEAN and global markets,” said Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
He further emphasized that Indonesia’s industrial estates continue to evolve with integrated infrastructure and utilities, as well as greater ease and certainty in licensing processes, providing a more competitive investment environment and supporting sustainable industrial development.
In line with the Government’s efforts to attract high-quality investment, HKI is playing an active role as a strategic partner in facilitating connections between global investors and industrial estates across Indonesia. Chairman of HKI, Akhmad Maruf Maulana, has actively engaged in high-level discussions and explored potential cooperation with industrial stakeholders and business communities in Russia to advance concrete and sustainable investment opportunities.
A key milestone during the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HKI and the Association of Clusters, Technology Parks and Special Economic Zones of Russia, represented by its CEO, Labudin Mikhail. The signing was witnessed by Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.

“HKI’s participation in INNOPROM 2026 reflects our commitment to strengthening investment connectivity between Indonesia and global partners, particularly Russia and the broader Eurasian region. Through this cooperation, HKI is creating broader opportunities to connect investors with industrial estates that match their investment requirements and business needs,” said Akhmad Maruf Maulana.
He added that HKI is ready to support the investment process by providing information on industrial estates, facilitating communication with industrial estate developers and operators, and supporting investors throughout their investment exploration and establishment process in Indonesia.
HKI’s active participation in INNOPROM 2026 reaffirms the Association’s commitment to strengthening the role of industrial estates as a key component of Indonesia’s investment and manufacturing ecosystem. Stronger collaboration among the Government, industrial estate stakeholders, and international partners is expected to create new opportunities for cooperation while reinforcing Indonesia’s position amid the ongoing transformation of global supply chains.
The cooperation established during INNOPROM 2026 is expected to be followed by concrete initiatives, including business visits and investment exploration missions by delegations from Russia and the broader Eurasian region to selected industrial estates in Indonesia in the coming period.
